SONG OO4 ♡ I'LL TL;DR ABOUT MY FAVORITE COUPLE <3

hmm, I sense a long tl;dr coming here :O

So It’s time for me to ramble about my favorite geass couple (and, perhaps the most tragic), Cornelia and Guilford.

Most of you wondered why I came to love the couple in the first place. Well, I didn’t know why at first, when I first watched geass, I finished watching it so fast without even thinking twice at that time, I had semi-finals. It was during my first time watching it that I fell in love with Cornelia, a second time made me fall in for Guilford, and the third made me go all “OMG, SRSLY SHIPPING”

What I find tragic in this couple is that, unlike other couples in the series (Euphemia x Suzaku for example), where love is evident evident, the love found in these two is barely shown (or never mentioned) in the anime. It was also heart saddening that for most of the second  season, they were never together. However, it was mentioned in the geass novels that Guilford had romantic feelings for Cornelia, and this was also slightly proved in Stage 11, and even more in R2.

Let me explain.

In Stage 11,Guilford was a frantic little puppy when Cornelia told him she wasn’t willing to give up and charged towards the enemy with a damanged gloucester. R2 turn 4, You’ll see a decorative plate of Cornelia , which Guilford has as some sort of shrine. In Turn 12, He was seen with an album that has Cornelia in it ( I bet he has something else aside from a plate and an album stashed in his room ). Turn 17-18 Had him all BAAWWing over Cornelia!Lelouch, and he saved lelouch from F.R.E.I.J.A. at the cost of his own life which caused your dear blogger here to go on RAAAGE and hate Lelouch.

Cornelia wasn’t doing great on her side either.

We see her in turn 12 in the geass cult, with a damaged arm. She got captured by V.V. in Turn 13, but she escapes in turn 14 on a damanged gloucester, but was captured by the black knights. On turn 18, she manages to escape but was able to feel Guilford’s presence in the area (but she doesn’t know Guilford was there). She was shocked on turn 19 when she heard Guilford was missing from schneizel (O YOU KING OF MANIPULATION). She went to cambodia with Schneizel, Kanon, and Deithard. Turn 23 had her disagreeing with Schneizel’s ultimate plan and caused her to get shot by a Gun Turret. In. a Statue (this was random, I mean, who would put a machine gun on a statue?)

But as always, Cornelia defied death and was seen in Penglai island in turn 24,injured, with Guilford.

Of all the times during the run on geass, They just HAD to make this couple canon on THE 49TH GEASS EPISODE. There’s like only one more episode for this show to wrap up,I haven’t seen their lovy dovey moments, and I’m getting worried over the possibility of a crippled Cornelia + Blind Guilford. But hey, Cornelia can be his eyes and he can be her legs. That’s fine, amirite?

Oh wait, that’s not fine. Brain cannot compute Cornelia + Crippled in one sentence.

However, it was a very touching scene, with Guilford calling her “Princess”, even if Cornelia isn’t a Princess anymore, nor was Guilford a Knight.  It made me cry like an obsessed fangirl that I always was.

Speaking of that scene, I doubt if Guilford was actually blind, I mean, the speed of being able to grasp Cornelia’s hand is too fast for it to consider one being blind. I say, he’s wearing those glasses simply to be FAABULOUS.

and I realized. If I placed this much effort in writing this and applied this to my studies, I say, I’ll be in the FAABUULOOUS top five. sadly though, I’m not that kind of person who perfers studying over fangirling :I
